The Stinger Lite Pipe system is an ultra-thin rechargeable work light designed for use as a drop light or to fit into tight spaces in automotive and industrial applications. The new light consists of a nine-inch-long light cone attached to the body of a Xenon Stinger flashlight, and a removable, rotatable hang hook.  With the hook attached, the light can be hung from a car hood, for example, to illuminate an engine. By removing the hook, it also can be used to cast bright light into hard-to-reach places, such as a vehicle undercarriage or equipment interiors. “The Stinger Lite Pipe is a highly versatile LED work light which gives automotive and industrial technicians the ability to illuminate work areas or to light up tight, dimly lit spaces,” said Streamlight Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Michael F. Dineen.  

Powered by eight C4® LEDs, the Stinger Lite Pipe delivers 220 lumens of light in a broad, uniform flood pattern, and provides a run time of 3 hours and 15 minutes.  Each of the high-power LEDs is impervious to shock and offers a 50,000 hour lifetime.  The system is available with either a 3-cell, 3.6 volt Ni-Cd or Ni-MH sub-C battery, both rechargeable up to 1,000 times.   The Lite Pipe cone is fashioned from clear, unbreakable polycarbonate with a scratch-resistant coating, while the hook is made of impact-modified nylon. The Stinger body is manufactured from 6000 series machined aircraft aluminum and includes an anti-roll rubber ring.  It also features a convenient head-mounted, push-button switch that is designed for extremely long life.  

The Stinger Lite Pipe system measures 19.62 inches and weighs 12.3 ounces. The new light system fits all existing Stinger series charger-holders.  The available steady charger fully recharges in 10 hours on 100 volt, 120 volt, 230 volt, or 240 volt AC or 12 volt DC.   A 2.5 hour fast charger and a PiggyBack charger that allows for simultaneous charging of both the light and battery also are available. The Stinger Lite Pipe system is rated IPX4 for water-resistant operation and is impact-resistance tested to 1 meter.  The Stinger Lite Pipe also is available as an optional accessory kit for use with existing Xenon Stinger flashlights.  The MSRP for the Stinger Lite Pipe system is $192.00.  The MSRP for the optional Lite Pipe Kit is $50.00.   Both come with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
