Universal Flow Monitors announces seven new Battery-Powered CoolPoint™ Vortex Shedding flowmeters for water, chemicals and corrosives. Designed for situations where there is no power located nearby or in which it would be cost prohibitive to wire the monitoring station, the Battery-Powered CoolPoint™ runs on 3 AA alkaline batteries or lithium batteries. The expected battery life is six months with the alkaline batteries or two years with lithium.
The CoolPoint™ flowmeter has no moving parts to stick or coat, eliminating potential for clogging. It will indicate flow rate or total on an LCD screen. The seven new flowmeters range in size from 1/4" (inch) to 2" (inches) with maximum flow ranges from 4-200 gpm, maximum pressure of 300 PSI, and temperature ranges from 32º (degrees) F to 210º (degrees) F. Users may select the flow to be expressed in gallons, liters or cubic meters per minute.
The battery-powered CoolPoint™ offers the following standard features of other CoolPoint™ flowmeters:
- Brass or 316 Stainless Steel body with viton seals and PVDF sensors
- Flow repeatability is +/- .25 percent (1/4 of 1 percent)
- Turndown ratio 10:1
