IAC Industries introduces a new way to add storage and utility to workbenches with the company’s Multi-Task System I. The base MTS is a 3-upright frame that mounts to the rear of a bench worksurface or workbench frame (depending on model), onto which are attached any of the many storage, shelving, lighting and productivity accessories offered by IAC. An MTS enables users to retain more worksurface real estate for productive activities while providing abundant space above, yet within arms’ reach. 

The Multi-Task System frame is made of heavy gauge steel, finished with exceptionally durable powder coat paint—colors available to match all IAC workbenches. The vertical posts are slotted at 1-inch increments to accept mounting of accessories at various heights. The horizontal top frame member is pre-drilled for use with an optional air supply system. The worksurface-mounted MTS moves up and down with the worksurface when height is adjusted, keeping all accessories in their same relative positions. The triple upright configuration provides for shelving, cabinets, electrical channels, parts cup rails, and isolation screens, that extend just half the width of the workbench, making the MTS very flexible for end user customization. 

In addition a variety of swing arm accessories allow important items to be brought close. These include swing arms for CRT and Flat Panel Displays, bin holders, tool caddies and document holders. Shelf options include choices of utility, pan, and locking pan types. The locking pan is useful for securing valuable tools. Parts Cup Rails are available in single- or multi-bin versions. For books, manuals or valuable instruments, the locking Flipper Door Cabinet provides up to 16 cubic feet of storage, depending on the bench length. Three accessories run the full width of the MTS. These are the MTS Deluxe Lighting assembly, Tool Trolley and Air System.
