Injury, damage and lost work hours resulting from untethered tools falling from aloft cost U.S. industry about $6 billion a year. A staggering figure, yet this type of accident is almost completely preventable by using a relatively inexpensive tethering device.   Unfortunately,  until now very little information existed in print to advise safety engineers about safe tool tethering compliance.
