Universal Flow Monitors announces a transmitter upgrade for its SN Series of variable area turbine bearing cooling and lubrication meter.  The new transmitter is a compact, noncontact magnetically coupled transmitter.

 Introduced in this small vane style meter for circulating water and lubrication oil, it gives the SN Series greater durability and is less costly than the product that Universal Flow Monitors and its competitors have offered in the past, according to the company.  The SN vane-style meters are designed for flows from 0.5 gallons per minute (GPM) to 20 gallons per minute (GPM) (2 LPM to 75 LPM). These meters can be used when local flow indication and mechanical flow switching with pot-driven 4-20 mA transmitter are desired.   

The SN Series of lubrication meters has a combination aluminum/nylon body.  Internal moving parts are stainless steel.  Seals are Viton®.  These flowmeters are easy to install, operate and maintain.  They mount in line and in any orientation, with no straight pipe runs required.  No bypass is required for maintenance.
