Modular Fixturing

Modular tooling from Carr Lane is ideal for temporary fixturing. Use this wide selection of tooling components for one-time jobs, short or prototype production runs, trial fixturing or while permanent fixtures are built or repaired. Modular components are available in mini, standard, and heavy sizes. Finish-ground modular tooling plates and blocks have multipurpose positioning holes at regular intervals. Locking Toggle Clamps

Carr Lane has introduced several new toggle clamps with a built-in safety lock. These latch-action clamps have a lock which automatically engages when the clamp is closed, then remains locked until manually disengaged by pressing a lever before opening. The safety lock prevents the latch clamp from being accidentally opened by bumping the handle.

Available in four sizes, from 700 to 7500 lbs holding capacity. These new models, CL-200-LPA, CL-300-LPA, CL-400-LPA, and CL-500-LPA, all have a threaded U bolt for adjustability and a matching latch plate. Made of durable high-grade steel (also available in stainless steel). All Carr Lane toggle clamps have a comfortable handle grip.

Chuck Jaws

Carr Lane provides hundreds of hard and soft jaws in popular sizes for 28 chuck brands. Hard jaws are available in two-step reversible and single-step reversible varieties, in sizes to fit most chucks. These hardened steel jaws include diamond-point serrations for secure gripping.

General-purpose soft jaws, pointed or reversible, are constructed of 1018 steel, or optional aluminum. They come in many standard chuck sizes, in standard height or extra-high types. Pie-shaped soft jaws are full-grip jaws which provide increased surface contact on large-diameter or thinwall parts, to prevent distortion and marring. Hoist Rings

Carr Lane now offers more hoist rings than any other manufacturer in the world, with the recent addition of the entire product line of American Drill Bushing Co. ADB hoist rings are now part of Carr Lane's family of products. The newly expanded line includes over 20 different hoist-ring types, all in a wide range of sizes, with many new and patented items.

Pivoting hoist rings, swivel hoist rings, side-pull swivel hoist rings and lifting eyes are some of the types now carried by Carr Lane, ranging from economical, low profile versions to heavy-duty, extra-large types with load capacities up to 250,000 lbs.

Adjustable Locking Hubs Lock at Any Angle

Adjustable locking hubs, in stainless steel or plastic, are rotary bearings that provide positive locking at any 10° or 15° increment, depending on the model. Once locked, the hub becomes an absolutely rigid joint. Applications include adjustable fixtures, rotating fixtures, welding fixtures, trunnion mounting, adjustable and/or foldable handles, adjustable part trays and shelves, adjustable and/or flip-up work surfaces, positive positioning of spotlights or nozzles, and collapsable structures.

Panels can easily be flipped out of the way with a simple push button activation, improving ergonomics of machine control panels, vehicle workstations and touch screen adjustment.

Hub extensions and a variety of mounting options are available, and the hubs are compatible with standard ID tubing.

Now you can design your own custom hammers! These soft-faced mallets can be customized for specific applications by selecting the appropriate hammer inserts. Choose the same type for each side, or build a multi-purpose hammer with a different type of insert for each face. The Simplex system uses a patented hammer housing with three-point clamping that ensures a safe hammer assembly, and perfect application every time.

A wide variety of sizes, inserts and handles are available. Choose from eight different insert materials: 1) Blue Thermoplastic, soft; 2) Gray Thermoplastic, medium soft; 3) Black Rubber, medium soft 4) White Superplastic, medium hard; 5) Red Plastic, hard; 6) White Nylon, hard: 7) Soft Metal, hard; and 8) Copper, hard.
