High Visibility LED Warning Lights

Patlite’s new LFH Series LED Warning Lights produce a high-visibility, 110 flashes-per-minute strobe beacon light suitable for virtually any industrial application: indoor or outdoor, day or night, rain or shine, hot or cold. The lights provide superior sunlight visibility in the daytime, and nighttime visibility of 3,280 feet (1,000 m). These extremely compact and energy efficient LED lights are available in four operating voltages (12, 24, 48 VDC, and 90-250 VAC), making them optimal for a wide range of industrial warning light environments such as factories, utilities, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, parking lots, loading terminals and many others. DC models offer a rugged 90m/s2 (9G) vibration resistance rating ideally suited for forklifts and loaders, construction equipment, maintenance and other industrial vehicles. All models are adaptive to mount in an upright, inverted or sideways orientation.

The lights have a 100 x 100 mm mounting surface footprint, and are 143.5 mm tall. The highly refractive lens covers are available in five colors (red, yellow, green, blue and clear). The LFH Series features rugged, durable construction with low energy consumption and long service life in mind. The long life LED makes it ideal for placement in hard to service locations. For wet environments, the LFH is water resistance per IP66 (IEC606529) when installed in the upright position. DC models are rated for operation in -22 to 158°F (-30 to 70°C) ambient temperatures; AC models are rated for -4 to 140°F (-20 to 60°C). All models are engineered to meet the requirements of most industrial applications, including: CE certified, UL 1638 listed, RoHS compliant (directive EN50581), CAN/ULC-S526-M87 UL, FCC certification Part 15 Subpart B Class A), and NEMA Type 4, 4X,13.

Industrial Duty Flood Light

E-Flood LiteBox HL is a rechargeable, industrial duty flood light that delivers maximum illumination at 3,600 lumens. The portable lantern uses six C4® LEDs and six wide pattern reflectors to produce a broad, uniform beam of light for illuminating large areas such as a plant floor or rescue scene. The lantern also allows users to select from two beam widths and three light intensity modes.

“The E-Flood LiteBox HL is the ultimate lantern, offering a powerful, sweeping beam of light for general scene lighting, military operations, lighting up large work areas such as emergency response scenes, or for outdoor uses,” said Streamlight Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Michael F. Dineen. “It also provides the value of rechargeable lighting.” On high, the light provides a flood beam of 3,600 lumens and 31,000 candela peak beam intensity; on medium, it delivers 2,400 lumens and 20,000 candela; on low, it provides 1,200 lumens and 11,000 candela. Beam distances are 352, 283 and 210 meters, respectively. Run times range from 2 hours on high to 8 hours on low. The lantern uses a 12 volt 7.2Ah sealed lead acid battery that is rechargeable up to 500 times; red and green LEDs provide charge status feedback. The battery will continue to charge while operating directly from an external 12V DC power source when using the included remote cord. The light fits existing LiteBox chargers. The E-Flood LiteBox HL measures 12.3 inches and weighs 10.4 pounds.

The light features a high-impact ABS thermoplastic housing with an elastomer impact bumper and lens ring, and a cushioned handle that facilitates glove-gripping. Available in international safety orange, the E-Flood LiteBox HL is available in either a Standard or Vehicle Mount System. The Standard option features AC and DC chargers/rack, and the Vehicle Mount option features a vehicle-mountable hard-wire rack which meets the requirements of NFPA 1901-14.1.11.2 (2003) mounted in any position. Both systems include integral D-rings that allow for attachment of an included shoulder strap.

Switchgear Interlocking Application Guide

New application guide for switchgear interlocking makes it easier to understand and choose interlocks for a wide variety of industrial applications. The guide covers earthing systems; high-, medium- and low-voltage hazards; switching incomers onto common supply busbars; switching UPS systems and generators on to common supply busbars; and controlling the supply from multiple incomers. Working closely with key switchgear manufacturers, Castell assembles interlocks designed specifically for use on the leading OEM’s breakers, isolators, disconnectors and earth mechanisms.

The new application guide shows how Castell’s interlocks can be used in conjunction with equipment from leading manufacturers. Switchgear isolation can be achieved mechanically, through control circuitry or through power circuitry. In complex operations a number of isolations may need to occur to ensure the plant is safe to work on. Transducers USA has announced the release of their new sounder, producing the world’s highest dB output in a package of matchbook size. The sound level of Transducers USA’s new model TRPS-07 is ideal for a product whose sound output level will override any other possible sounds that may be within its area.

The unit produces a sound output level of 120dB @10cm in a package measuring a mere 1.8 x 1.5 x 1.0 inch at an operating voltage of 12 VDC at 130mA, producing sound at a frequency of 2500±500 Hz within an operating temperature range of -20 - +60°C. Transducers USA’s new TRPS-07 is supplied in a rugged ABS package with wire leaded input, with special configurations available on special order.
