ATEX Approved Pneumatic Vacuums

Nortech Vacuum Products®, a division of Guardair Corporation®, has announced a new line of ATEX Approved Pneumatic Vacuums for hazardous locations. The new vacuums eliminate the threat of static electricity by combining static conductive design with inherently safe pneumatic vacuum technology. They are approved for hazardous environments; meeting the requirements for use in Class I, Group A, B, C & D, and Class II, Groups E, F, and G; and is ATEX-approved (EX) for zones 1, 2, 21, and 22. Regular vacuums can unintentionally create static electricity that can be dangerous in locations with perilous vapors or combustible dust. Currently there are no standards that exist to certify pneumatic vacuums for safe use in hazardous locations within the United States; however Europe has developed standards known as ATEX Directives.

The ATEX Approved Pneumatic Vacuums run entirely off compressed air and are available in 30 and 55 gallon drum units. They come complete with three grounding options, 1 ½” or 2” vac hose, static conductive air supply hose and fittings, and all metal pick-up tools. The static conductive attachments, electrically bonded internal components, and multiple grounded options eliminate static electricity at the source. Given their safety and power, the Nortech ATEX Approved Pneumatic Vacuums are perfect for any wet or dry industrial cleaning applications where vacuum technology is used.

DETEX trigger sprayer

LPS high-performance food safe maintenance chemicals feature DETEX, metal and x-ray detectable plastic packaging. DETEX technology ensures the plastic packaging components on LPS maintenance chemicals are detectable by metal and x-ray detection equipment. This reduces the risk of plastic from LPS products contaminating food and going unnoticed. Reduced exposure time between differing environments provides less of an opportunity for unwanted insects, birds, dust and other particles to infiltrate a facility. With that in mind, TMI, LLC announces the 6000 Series roll‐up door & screen line. The complete line of Screen‐Pro, Vinyl-Pro and Bird‐Pro roll‐up screens, doors and barriers now includes the 6000 Series.

The 6000 Series features a higher speed external jackshaft motor that moves doors at a speed of 36” per second. Prior to the 6000 Series, the fastest speed TMI rollup doors could reach was 24” per second. “We’re focusing on fully encompassing our customers’ needs by responding to a request that we couldn’t serve in the past,” Chris Jacobs, the primary point on the 6000 Series’ development, said.

The increased speed allows for a wider variety of door and screen applications, including in areas where the expense of a high‐speed door can’t be justified. “We’re continuing to build on the momentum of the product line. Now we’re able to meet the demands of more applications,” Jacobs said. TMI’s roll-°©‐up line of doors and screens separate differing environments within and around a facility while also helping facilities meet AIB International Consolidated Standards for Inspection.

Used to display preformatted messages or factory floor data, the displays can be controlled from a PLC or any device that uses supported protocols. Embedded data support allows real-time production data from the controller to be contained within messages. ViewMarq LED message displays support embedded string and numeric variables, as well as blinking text and scrolling (left, right, up, down) messages.
