Baldor Electric Company, Fort Smith, Arkansas based manufacturer of energy saving industrial electric motors, drives, power transmission products and generators, announces a new high power brushless servo motor. The new BSM132 has the capability to reach 20 horsepower (14.5 Kw) and can be expanded to 34 horsepower (25 Kw) with optional blower cooling. BSM132 servo motors provide continuous stall torque from 620 lb-in (70Nm) to 1060 lb-in (120Nm) and speed capability to 5000 rpm for applications needing faster positioning. Design features include: • Sealing to IP65-protection against dust and low pressure water jets • Optional blower cooling-extends performance range • Optional rotatable connectors • Feedback including resolver or absolute encoder (single & multi-turn • Quality servo rated ball bearings for durability and smoothness • Double insulated, multicoated magnet wire for reliability • Premium grease-provides four times longer life The BSM132 servomotor has been designed to provide high quality and high performance. They offer improved torque per package size, reduced maintenance cost and quick response. Markets include packaging, food processing, beverages, material handling, shearing, printing and others needing high power and accurate positioning.
