The demise of U.S. manufacturing may have been greatly exaggerated, but Dow Chemical Co. CEO Andrew Liveris believes the sector is reaching an inflection point.
Liveris, speaking at a conference earlier this week, described the rebound in manufacturing as a "fragile" one.
He asserted that the manufacturing renaissance either can "usher in a new era of American prosperity, or we can let the resurgence taper off, job growth flatline and the sector fall prey to a policy vacuum where our policy is not to have one."
