Camfil Farr Air Pollution Control, a Jonesboro, Ark.-based manufacturer of dust-collection equipment, said the company now will operate under the name Camfil Air Pollution Control.
Camfil Air Pollution Control is the dust-collection business of Stockholm, Sweden-based Camfil AB, which describes itself as the world's largest air-filter manufacturer.
Camfil purchased the Farr Co. in 2000 and changed the name of the merged company to Camfil Farr.
"This year, Camfil is celebrating 50 years in the clean-air solutions business, and the Camfil name is now well-known in the U.S. and throughout the world," Lee Morgan, president of Camfil Air Pollution Control, said in a news release.
"The company has therefore decided to change the official name back to Camfil, while the global dust-collection business now becomes Camfil APC."
The company said it will continue to use the Farr name and logo on its Farr Gold-Series dust collector.
