Director, Research & Development
My industry is heavy manufacturing. I serve as adjunct faculty at our state university and assist our local technical college. My wife is Chair of our local school board.
We find it difficult to get regular dialog with industry folk about the output of the K-12, tech college and university. Likewise, few firms participate in requests for survey input about changing knowledge, skill, ability needs related to new technology, globalization, competition, etc. As a result, the system of teaching-learning and workforce development is not optimized in our area.
