With one month in the books for 2013, all that remains from the holidays are credit-card bills and a few Christmas trees still on the curbs. But it's not too late to review your "Naughty and Nice" list for 2012, says manufacturing-operations consultant Jason Piatt.

By taking a look at your operations—from your lean initiatives to your cost deployment—you can make dramatic improvements in 2013, explains Piatt, in an article for New Equipment Digest's sister publication, IndustryWeek.
