Colson Caster Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of standard and custom application caster and wheel products has announced its newest line of low-cost wheels for mass distribution.  The innovative wheel, manufactured completely in the U.S., is designed for maximum performance in both hard- and soft-tread applications. Colson is positioning the Trans-forma as an economical alternative for its 4-6 Series products in critical applications.

 “As with all of our wheel products, the new Trans-forma series is backed by Colson’s full, three-year warranty.  The wheels were designed, engineered and rigorously tested to insure the quality, performance and competitiveness that we require,” said Charles Harris, engineering manager at Colson. “Our customers asked for a low-cost alternative that does not sacrifice the integrity of the wheel, and Trans-forma is that product.” Once again, our customer input has served as momentum for a new product.”

The Trans-forma wheel is constructed with a thermoplastic elastomer tread chemically bonded to its ultra-tough, waffle design polyolefin wheel core.  For hard-tread uses such as shopping and bakery carts, the durable Trans-forma rolls easily and cleanly.  The same wheel’s soft-tread capabilities allow a quiet, protected, and cushioned ride for applications such as school and library carts.

The new Trans-forma wheel is available now in 4”, 5” and 6” diameters, each with a full 2” tread width.
