Colson Caster Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of standard and custom application caster and wheel products, today announced a new addition to its 2 Series wheel product group - the TPE HI-TEMP wheel.  Built with an easy running, heat resistant exterior, the new wheel is designed for applications where moderate to high temperature and washing and steaming environments may be the norm. “The entire construction of the wheel dictates worry free hardiness and operation,” said Charles Harris, engineering manager at Colson. “We have not only crafted its elements with the toughest materials, but also joined them together with the most advanced bonding and sealing technologies.”

Thoroughly tested in Colson’s own engineering labs, the thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) tread material on the TPE HI-TEMP wheel is chemically bonded to a tough and environmentally sound polyolefin core. This combination of corrosion-free, heavy-duty materials and hearty package design make the wheel perfect for medical and food processing environments requiring strength and durability during washing operations and hot, wet clean-ups.  In addition, the wheels feature a single insert, molded and sealed, stainless steel precision ball bearing with a white, glass-filled nylon thread guard for years of maintenance-free, dependable wear.

The new TPE-HI-TEMP wheel can facilitate up to 350 total pounds of weight load and is available now in 3, 3 ½, 4, 5, and 6 inch wheel diameters, each with a 1 ¼ inch tread width.
