Schmersal is pleased to announce the extension of their family of BNS non-contact safety sensors. The BNS40S coded magnetic sensor meets stringent North American and European approvals, is CE and cULus approved, and can be used in the highest level of machine safety circuits meeting up to PLe per ISO13849- 1 and SIL3 per IEC61508. The BNS40S magnetic safety sensor is manufactured using high quality stainless steel and is designed for use in high pressure wash down (1450psi) and high temperature (175°F) applications. 

The IP69K-rated BNS40S meets the ECOLAB test requirements for wash down making this switch ideal for the food and beverage industry. To help improve the process of cleaning the switch in wash down applications concealed rear mounting is available with the BNS40S. The BNS40S is offered standard with 3 contacts and a 1m cable length; other cable lengths include 3m, 5m and 10m. Optional LED indication is available to help identify switch operation. The BNS40S can be connected to a number of standard safety controllers manufactured by Schmersal.
