he Kindorf Solar Panel Grounding Washer also is designed to save time, featuring slotting that eliminates the need to disassemble the clamp assembly for installation. “As solar panels get thinner and more efficient, mounting systems must be flexible and adaptable, as well as strong,” said Chad Smith, director, product management at Thomas & Betts. “This makes the Kindorf® line an especially good solution, with its selection of labor-saving products designed for the unique challenges of solar applications. They are designed to ensure safe and efficient installation.”   Kindorf® Solar Panel Hold-Down Clamps are made of rugged, corrosion-resistant materials: the body and channel nut are made from high-strength, extruded aluminum alloy 6061-T6 with a clear, anodized finish; and the bolt, lock washer and flat washer are made from Type 304 stainless steel.   The Kindorf Solar Panel Grounding Washer is made from tin-plated, case-hardened steel, it features a bent tab to ensure that it stays in place during installation and teeth that penetrate the solar panel’s frame to ensure proper grounding at each critical attachment point.     

Both the Kindorf Solar Panel Hold-Down Clamps and the Kindorf Solar Panel Grounding Washer are compatible with 1 ½-inch and 1 5/8-inch strut systems.
