New Workbench combines organization with ergonomics to maintain a steady flow in the shipping/receiving department.

Allentown, PA, May 2, 2006, – A new workbench by Stanley Vidmar has been designed from the floor up to make it easier for shipping and receiving clerks to expedite orders. It's built around a Stanley® Vidmar® modular drawer cabinet and a laminate top.

The 90-in. long top gives plenty of room for weighing, packing and labeling, and is set at an 36 1/2 inches high, a comfortable working height when standing or sitting on a stool. It includes a radiused edge to help keep workers comfortable while leaning forward.

As with all Stanley® Vidmar® cabinets, this workbench's drawer cabinet can be tailored to suit any customer. It comes with a roll-out shelf at the top drawer position. The shelf provides an additional hard surface for writing, packing or staging, and can be locked in the open position while in use. Below that shelf, however, customers can specify any size drawers that meet their needs, and can have the drawers configured with a variety of partitions, dividers and plastic bin cups, or Pendaflex® file frames. All drawers have 100% extension slides, and can be locked separately. The cabinet is available with an optional recessed base for toe clearance, or with leveling feet for placement on an uneven floor surface.

The workbench can be ordered with an optional riser to provide lighting and electrical outlets as needed. Bookcases and shelves, with or without doors, can be added above the riser, for bulk storage of mailers, manuals and other large items that might otherwise clutter the work surface area or fill up cabinet drawers.

The Shipping/Receiving Workbench has a high quality powder coat finish. Users can choose from a number of Stanley Vidmar colors.
