Retractable Tank Washer Automates Cleaning of Tanks Up to 40’
Supplier: Spraying Systems, Co.
A new, totally automated solution for cleaning tanks, reactors and vessels has been introduced by Spraying Systems Co. The Retractable Tank Washer (RTW) eliminates time-consuming, dangerous manual cleaning, reduces consumption of costly chemicals and water and cleans tanks thoroughly and consistently. The RTW also eliminates the need for workers to manually insert and remove the tank washer from the tank/reactor. A pneumatic mechanism lowers and raises the tank washer at the beginning and end of cleaning cycles. The RTW is controlled by an easy-to-use control panel that allows users to set multiple stopping points between full insertion and retraction. This allows the nozzles to be positioned in locations where more cleaning impact is required or to clean around internal tank obstructions. The control box can be located away from the tank for safety and convenience. The motor-driven RTW is ideal for removing difficult residues with cleaning cycles ranging from 2.1 to 11 minutes. Designed for cleaning PTFE, latex, acrylic, polymer, paint, cosmetic, food and pharmaceutical tanks/reactors, the RTW operates at pressures up to 4000 psi (275 bar) and temperatures up to 140°F (60°C). Explosion-proof versions are available along with optional isolation valves, liquid valves and liquid pressure switches for applications requiring additional safety.
