Columbia Machine’s New Model FL1000-SW combines a rugged, heavy-duty small footprint palletizer with the added functionality of a fully integrated stretch wrapper. Requiring no modification, the FL1000-SW can simultaneously stack and stretch wrap a wide variety of package types including cases, trays, totes, film only and display packs for a variety of industries including canned and frozen foods, beverage, pharmaceutical and many more.
The New FL1000-SW is Columbia’s latest addition of heavy-duty palletizers that includes formed and welded steel construction and 80-pitch hoist chain. An industry-proven stretch wrapper from Highlight Industries performs a wrap cycle after each layer is placed onto the pallet while the next layer of product is being built. As a fully integrated feature, the stretch wrapper includes film grip, cut and wipe down, maintaining the palletizing speed and providing a compact footprint. The FL1000-SW palletizes 10 cases per minute (10 case per layer pattern) or more, depending on the case size and pallet pattern.
Category 3 rated electrical safety components are now standard on all Columbia Palletizers including A-B SensaGuard dual circuit safety interlocks and Sick type 4 light curtains (mounted per OSHA guidelines). Automatic hoist safety pins and an infeed tunnel provide additional operator protection and allows for easy access to the infeed side of the FL1000-SW. This superior safety package is unmatched in the industry as standard equipment and offers the highest level of protection for your employees; protection that they deserve.
As with all of Columbia’s palletizers, increased flexibility is provided through multiple layout possibilities including front, rear and side infeeds and the option of pallet dispensing and load discharge on the same side. Columbia’s Product Manager Software provides a user-friendly interface increasing palletizer up-time and productivity by making it simple to add or modify patterns, make stretch wrapper adjustments, adjusts PLC timers and VFD speeds and generates multiple production reports, all from the HMI.
