The gears are made from carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, brass, acetal, nylon and fiberglass filled nylon. They are offered with and without hubs, with and without keyways, with an without tapped holes for set screws. They are available with or without heat treating and are either cut or ground finished. These multitude of options allows the end-user to select the required gear in many cases without needing to perform any additional operations.
