New from Federal Signal is the versatile Model AV1-LED Combination Audible/Visual Signal that spotlights a 100% polycarbonate housing rated for Type 3R rain-tight applications. The AV1-LED offers a 60,000 hour LED light source.  Available in amber, blue, green, red and clear domes, the AV1-LED offers the flexibility of three different mounting configurations.  The unit's black base is designed to accommodate mounting of 1/2-inch NPT pipe, a four-inch octagonal electrical box, or any flat surface.

A surface-mount gasket serves as a mistake-free template for preparing a flat surface with accurate mounting holes.  Key features of the AV1-LED include an exclusive twist-and-lock dome to facilitate simplified, tool-free access to the LED, and the fresnel lens to promote superior visibility in all directions.  The integrated buzzer provides 85dB output at 10 feet (95dB @ 1 meter).  The unit is capable of supplying independent flashing light and sounder operation.  The LED can be field adjusted for a flash pattern of either 60 FPM or 75 FPM by employing a jumper on the PC board.  Available in 24VDC and 120VAC, the UL- and cUL-Listed Model AV1-LED is factory assembled with two color-coded leads.  Depending on the application, the leads can be removed and connected directly to the terminal block located in the base of the unit.
