Fuse and Fuseholder Combo for Photovoltaic Systems
Added to Schurter’s portfolio of products for the solar industry are the new ASO series fuse and FSO series fuseholder, designed to protect DC applications from the potentially devastating effects of low short circuits and overvoltage conditions in systems upwards of 1000 VDC. The new fuse and fuseholder are intended for use in grid or off-grid solar strings, inverters, battery charges and combiner boxes. The ASO fuse has a quick-acting characteristic according to UL 248-14. It is a standard midget size 10.3x38mm size. Current ratings range from 1 to 30A with a breaking capacity of 20 kA and operating temperature is -40°C to +85°C. The fuseholder mounts in a standard 35 mm DIN Rail. A pressure plate connection accepts 8-14 AWG stranded wires or 10-14 AWG solid wires. Units can be ordered in 1-, 2-or 3-poles. Both ASO and FSO are cURus agency approved, RoHs compliant and halogen-free.
