Supplier: Durex Industries
Durex Industries, manufacturer of electric heaters and temperature sensors, announces a new line of flexible, high watt electric cable heaters. Applications for these formed-to spec or field-formable heaters include trace heating/freeze protection, semiconductor manufacturing processes, hot runner plastic molding, packaging, tube/pipe heating, vacuum chambers and various immersion heating.
Sealed leadwire transition eliminates contamination, while operating temperatures to 1500°F (808°C) are achievable with these heaters. An optional internal thermocouple can be located at various points for precise temperature control.
Durex flex cable heaters are offered with customized wattage and voltage to suit the application. Sheath materials include 304 S.S., 316 S.S., Inconel and Incoloy. Standard sheath cross-sections range from .062” - .375” dia. Leadwires can be PTFE or encased in fiberglass sleeve, stainless steel flex cable, or stainless steel overbraid. Durex offers complete application engineering assistance.
