UNIVERSITY PARK, IL, April 12, 2006-Federal Signal has launched a new vehicular back-up alarm, The Evacuator, featuring state-of-the-art technology and components. The Evacuator back-up alarm is mounted to the rear of an industrial vehicle to warn personnel of movement. In most vehicular applications, a “blind spot” is prevalent when traveling in reverse; therefore the sounder provides audible notification to help prevent injury to nearby personnel.
The Evacuator is sealed against moisture and contaminants, has an impact-resistant housing, and features solid-state components that can resist the effects of vibrations.
It is available in two models, single-tone and a dual-function tone that allows the alarm to produce two distinctively different tones. Both models are SAE J994 Approved.
