CUSTOMIZED “MACHINED” SPRINGS GIVE DESIGNERS MANY OPTIONS
Supplier: Helical Products Co Inc
Customized “machined” springs enable designers to integrate multiple features into one piece. These unique springs can be designed specifically to address requirements for rate, reactions at desired deflections, combined rates, modal properties, weight and inertial limits. Another advantage is that customer specified end attachments such as tangs, clamps, flanges or threaded ends can be integrated into the single multi-functional component. More than one spring coil set (multiple starts) can be designed into a given part to provide a broad range of spring rates and functionality within a given size (envelope).
