Initially designed for the dairy industry, Schneider’s state-of-the-art VCP-20 bottom load case packer is ideal for applications where a smaller footprint and gentle product handling is needed.  The VCP-20 can be designed to pack cases ranging in size from 7 to 24 inches in length and 4 to 18 inches in width.  Servo controlled motion provides smooth, accurate handling of product and cases, and its smaller size is perfect for lower rate applications of up to 20 cases per minute, depending on the case size and pack pattern.

As conveyed product reaches the VCP-20, a servo mechanism pushes product from the conveyor to construct a pack pattern which is then loaded into a waiting case.  Simultaneously, the VCP-20 selects and erects cases, folds, and seals flaps.  Servo controlled motion is also used in the handling of both flat and loaded cases.  Case sealing can be accomplished with tape or hot-melt glue.
