Distech Systems now offers a compact machine tool loader that is capable of loading and unloading both trays and conveyors. Weighing less than a ton, the DS1100-MTL-TD can be moved from one machine to another with just a pallet jack. Best of all, the new system costs less than $75,000.             The new DS1100-MTL-TD can be set up next to any machine tool and feed parts directly from a conveyor or tray to your chuck, spindle, fixture or the machine tool loader. Repetitive machine tending reduces costs and tedium.             The DS1100-MTL-TD can function as a mini work cell. During your machining process, the seven-axis robot can load or unload auxiliary equipment. The robot can also transfer parts to secondary operations such as washing, inspection or marking.             Two drawers will accommodate a tray of up to 18” by 24”. Trays can be wire, injection molded, vacuum formed or heat treated. The system is also designed to accept parts from an integral flow-thru parts conveyor.
