For flexible bonding applications, Henkel Corporation has introduced Loctite(R) 5510(TM) Adhesive/Sealant and Loctite(R) 5570(TM) Adhesive.  Highly resistant to vibration, movement and impact, these permanently elastic, primerless formulations bond and seal a wide variety of dissimilar substrates including metals, glass, nylon, and plastics. Based on Henkel’s proprietary FlexTec(TM) technology, these one-component, odorless adhesives are non-corrosive and free of solvents, isocyanates, silicones and PVC.  These easy-to-use products cure by reacting with ambient moisture, achieving functional strength in just 24 hours, and are compatible with many paint systems.

Available in white, grey or black, Loctite(R) 5510(TM) Adhesive/Sealant bonds and seals simultaneously, fills gaps, resists weather and moisture, and withstands ongoing shock and impact.  The product skins over quickly and cures to a tack-free surface.  This elastic sealant is ideal for appliance, specialty vehicle and building construction applications where it can be used on air/water penetration joints, expansion joints, doors, windows, wall penetrations, precast panels, siding, roofing and gutters.

Available in clear or white, Loctite(R) 5570(TM) Adhesive replaces mechanical fasteners and rivets and provides vibration and sound-dampening benefits.  Offering high initial tack and fast setting, this product works well in high productivity, high volume applications.  This elastic sealant is ideal for specialty vehicle, small motor, and sign/display assembly where it can be used for general purpose bonding/assembly and to reduce the use of mechanical fasteners.
