Gorbel Opens New Plant in China

June 16, 2006 – New York based overhead crane manufacturer Gorbel Inc. is pleased to announce the grand opening of their new 80,000 square foot manufacturing plant in China. The new plant is located in the Tianjin economic development region of China, outside of Beijing.
This new plant will allow Gorbel to establish the distribution channels necessary to better serve the Chinese market. It will also allow Gorbel a more efficient means of servicing its many US customers who are expanding their operations to into China. This new plant is in addition to their existing manufacturing facilities in Fishers, NY and Pell City, AL, USA.
Brian Reh, Gorbel’s President, says, “The key word to emphasize here is 'expansion'. Our North American customers have expanded abroad, so we need to be there to support them. The high service and quality levels that we will forever strive for in North America also have a place in China."
