Pepperl+Fuchs popular Econo-Vue family of photoelectric sensors are now available in AC/DC versions, in addition to the existing DC types. The Econo-Vue’s universal supply voltage is significant to machine builders and users in that it allows them to stock a single sensor that can be used for AC or DC applications. Additionally, AC supply sensors could result in longer runs of interconnected sensors than is otherwise possible for DC types only.
Pepperl+Fuchs introduces LB/FB Remote I/O Systems. Designed to facilitate the connection of traditional input and output signals onto a bus network, LB/FB systems support general-purpose or intrinsically safe applications with modules that can be mixed and matched on the same backplane.
Pepperl+Fuchs introduces DM5xx Series Industrial Flat Panel LCD Monitors. They are specifically designed to deliver reliable operation and long life in harsh application environments, and/or in applications demanding continuous duty operation. They are a true industrialized monitor, delivering the highest MTBF in the industry at over 550,000 hours. These high quality monitors are available as general purpose displays or as a UL listed Class I/Div 2 device.
Pepperl+Fuchs introduces Inclination Sensors. These cCSAus certified sensors are designed to detect and measure the incline or tilt angle of machine elements or equipment platforms in single or dual axis applications, from 0° to 360° with accuracy of ± 0.5°.

Material Handling: Sensing Challenges & Solutions
|
| In today’s material handling market, OEMs are faced with a number of concerns when choosing a sensor manufacturer and specifying sensors. What makes one sensor manufacturer more attractive than another? What sensor features are the most important to me? How do I protect my company from specifying a sensor that will be obsolete in the next 12 months bringing my production to it knees? What are the current trends in the sensor market? With the growing trend to reduce inventory, how can I limit the number of unique models my machine needs? What electrical standards and optical features are important? |
