Megger introduces the new family of 5 and 10 kV insulation testers comprised of four models. The four models are very similar, however, a 4 mA higher noise rejection sets the S1-554 and S1-1054 apart from the S1-552 and S1-1052.
Megger, the world’s leading supplier of insulation resistance and ground resistance testers, introduces two new four-terminal ground testers, the DET4TC and DET4TCR to its established family of ground testing instruments. These new models include the ART (Attached Rod Technique) capability already found in Megger’s popular DET3TC, and add stakeless (clamp-on) testing capability for applications where traditional fall-of-potential testing is not possible.
Megger introduces a family of eight insulation testers that meet the most stringent requirements for installation, maintenance, service and repair in the electrical, power and telecommunications industries. The units conform to IEC1010-2 for Category IV 600V applications. The instruments feature Megger’s patented dual digital and analog arc displays showing both measurement result and the actual test voltage being delivered simultaneously.
Megger introduces the MPP1000 Pinpointer, an instrument designed specifically for locating faults in shielded, primary and direct buried electric cables. The MPP1000 is available in three configurations: as a stand-alone unit (without probes) that detects electromagnetic impulse; a single-probe version which allows for detection of the acoustic thump and provides a measure of the distance to the fault; and as a dual-probe version which can also provide the direction to the fault.
