The Amacoil/Uhing model RG linear drive features mechanical control over travel direction and linear speed eliminating the need for an electronic control system. Reversal of travel direction is automatic regardless of the speed or rotational direction of the shaft. Length of travel is increased or decreased using manually set end stops.
Available in seven sizes to meet axial thrust requirements from 22 to 450 pounds, the Amacoil/Uhing RS indexing drive is a backlash-free alternative for linear motion systems. The inner race of the rolling ring bearings is in constant point-contact with the shaft. There is no play or free movement between shaft and bearings. This assures that when the shaft rotates the rotary motion input is immediately converted into linear output including during reversal.
Amacoil/Uhing has introduced the model RG80 linear drive which supplies up to 800 pounds of side thrust for heavy load linear motion applications. The drive features "rolling ring" linear motion engineering enabling mechanical control over reversal thereby eliminating the need for electronic controls and a reversible motor.
EasyLock™ shaft collars, from Amacoil/Uhing, install quickly without special tools for non-slip holding of tools and reels on smooth, case hardened (Rockwell 55 or higher) shafts. Holding force may be adjusted from 90 to 1,124 pounds using the hand operated control on the EasyLock clamping unit. A quick-release feature facilitates frequent changeovers to help reduce downtime and maintain high production rates.
