offers an extended line of unregulated switching adapters that comply with the U.S. Energy
Independence and Security Act that goes into effect in July. Designated the PLA Series, the
adapters are available in 1W, 2W, 3W, and 5W single output voltage models and meet Level IV
efficiency.
Phihong USA introduces an 80W, single-port Power-over-Ethernet adapter. Designated the POE80U, the high-power, single-port adapter provides up to 80W of power on a single Ethernet port, making it ideal for powering satellite receivers, video conferencing systems, access points, LCD displays, security cameras, kiosks and computer workstations.
Phihong USA has developed a series of linear replacement products designed as a low cost replacement for non-compliant linear adapters. Designated the PLA Series, the universal input California Energy Commission (CEC)-compliant products are very close in cost to linear adapters, but unlike those devices, the linear replacement adapters meet the latest energy regulations.
The 30W one-port midspan from Phihong USA, the global leader in low-cost power supplies, is now being implemented into high power applications that implement IEEE’s 802.11N standard. Designated the POE30U Series, the midspan is designed to power wireless and WiMAX access points that require up to 24 watts of power.
