To simplify predictive/preventive motor maintenance programs, Electro Static Technology has introduced two new AEGIS SGR Split-Ring Bearing Protection Kits™ — one for NEMA motors and one for IEC motors.
The new split-ring version of the AEGIS SGR Bearing Protection Ring™ comes in halves for easy field installation with little or no disassembly of equipment. For VFD-controlled AC and DC motors, the SGR Split Ring protects bearings from electrical damage caused by circulating or shaft currents, dramatically extending motor life as well as preventing bearing noise, downtime, and costly motor repairs/replacements.
AEGIS iPRO™ Shaft Grounding Ring safely channels harmful shaft currents away from bearings to ground. Specially designed for high current applications, it is ideal for protecting generators, turbines, and medium-voltage motors against electrical bearing damage.
The new AEGIS SGR™ Conductive MicroFiber™ Shaft Grounding Brush from Electro Static Technology improves the reliability of HVAC/R systems by dramatically extending motor life. By protecting bearings from electrical damage for the life of the motor, the AEGIS SGR prevents bearing noise and costly motor repairs and downtime.
